HSE Stress Control Programme 2016-09-16 09:42:00

HSE Primary Care Psychology Services, St Finbarrs GAA, Knocknaheeny Youth Project, Health Action Zone and the Carrigaline Family Support Centre have joined forced to combat stress in Cork city and county. This initiative which is part of the award winning GAA / HSE Cork Beats Stress Project involves the delivery of a free course called ‘Stress Control’ designed to teach participants the skills to tackle stress effectively.

Previous courses run in Mallow, Midleton, Mayfield, Kinsale and Bandon have been well attended and research on these courses has shown that those attending have experienced significant reductions in their anxiety and improvements in their mood after the course.

People are invited to attend the course in Togher, Knocknaheeny or Carrigaline. The course lasts for 6 weeks.

KNOCKNAHEENY: Thursday: 15th, 22nd, 29th September & 6th, 13th, 20th October, 11.30am - 1.00pm

CARRIGALINE: Thursday: 15th, 22nd, 29th September & 6th, 13th, 20th October, 10.00am - 11.30am

FINBARRS NATIONAL HURLING & FOOTBALL CLUB: Wednesday: 5th, 12th, 19th 26th October & 2nd, 9th November, 10.30am - 12 noon
